Soul Midwifery
As a Soul Midwife...
I accompany those approaching the end of life on their final journey, offering comfort and support whilst gently helping to address any unresolved matters. Led by the needs and wishes of the individual, my role is to ease the way toward a peaceful and dignified passing.

What is a Soul Midwife?
A soul midwife is a non-medical, holistic companion who provides spiritual and emotional support to those at the end of life. Everyone deserves a gentle and meaningful death, and soul midwifery helps restore the art of dying well. As a soul midwife, trained within the Soul Midwives Movement founded by Felicity Warner, I walk alongside the dying person, their families and medical teams to ensure a peaceful and dignified transition.

Much like a birth midwife, as a Soul Midwife I offer guidance and presence during a profound life passage. My aim is to create a sacred and comforting space, helping individuals feel safe, heard and respected during the last stages of their journey here on earth. All support is entirely client led, responding to the unique needs, wishes and pace of the individual.

As a soul midwife I aim to accompany individuals with sensitivity and care as they near the end of life, responding to the emotional, spiritual, and physical shifts that unfold. I offer gentle, non-clinical care, using a variety of therapeutic techniques such as deep listening, soothing touch, sound therapy, breath work and the use of sacred oils.
Who is it for?
Soul midwives support anyone facing a life-limiting illness or approaching the end of life.
This includes
-
The person who is dying, who receives emotional, spiritual and practical care
-
Families and loved ones, who benefit from support, advocacy and guidance
-
Care teams and community networks, who gain from the integration of compassionate, holistic practices into settings such as homes and hospices

When do I start?
Support from a soul midwife can begin as early as the point of diagnosis. The journey continues through the stages of illness, the vigil period and into the final transition. Care is offered throughout, ensuring continuous, attentive presence and a consistent source of comfort and support through all of the various stages, from beginning to end.
